"Art,

I wanted to thank you for guiding me on July 3 this year. On that day I caught two fish, one 33" and the other somewhere in the lower twenties. Even though I lost more fish and missed more hook sets than I ever thought I would in one day of Muskie fishing, it was a good day for me. It was by far the most active Muskie day I've ever had.

I also wanted to thank you for hour hospitality in chauffeuring me around town looking for a place to stay. Your card advertises "An Outdoor Experience"and it certainly held true for me. I came up there with the intention of learning new techniques and strategies and hopefully catch a fish or two. All my goals and expectations were exceeded. I look forward to fishing with you again.

Very truly yours,

Peter K. Kane"

"Hours after they started, the fisherman were finally ready to give up for the day. Not a single bite. Not a bump. Not a roll, flash nor show of any kind. The big fall muskies must have taken the day off. The two Illinois fisherman threw every lure that made any sense, and then threw some that hadn't come out of their tackle boxes in many years. Even the slowly drifting suckers were not touched.

Every rod was put away...except the one with the big sucker still firmly hooked. When Art Anderson, the guide, picked up the last rod, he sensed weight on the line. "Dave...Dave...take this rod!... there is a muskie on this rod," cried Art.

Dave Gabrys felt the weight of the fish, then the whole rod became alive. "Hit it!" exclaimed Art, and hit it he did. Dave's large frame jammed the big treble deep into the hardened jaw of the heavy muskie. The fish streamed line from the reel as he fought for his life. This muskie hadn't heard of catch and release.

Writhing, slashing, and breaking water the 39 inch behemoth fought for his life. Finally he came boatside to the outstretched net. He truely was a gleaming cold water monster. Fattening up for the coming winter, the fish had picked the wrong sucker.

A series of pictures were taken with Dave holding his prize for the camera. The fish was then released back into the depths of the small Wisconsin lake from which it came; a trophy for tomorrow; for another fisherman; for the future of the Northwoods!"

"Dear Art,

Thanks a million for a fantastic day of fishing and an educational experience that will be with me forever.

We saw 22 Muskies, Boated seven (3 legal in 45 minutes) missed a few and caught a few Northerns. Need I say more!

Definatly again,

Larry Solek"

"Dear Art,

I want to thank you for the great week of fishing in early June, the week before my surgery. It was phenominal. The number of muskies that we raised was somewhere between 40-50 in three days, and the 20 in one morning was really outstanding with 2 legals (34" and 41") boated along with several northerns. The other muskies we landed were not to shabby either, your 37" hybrid and the 44" natural that I got. I tole people about this and showed them the pictures, and they asked where and who can I contact to have a chance at the same thing, all this in three half day trips.

The other day on Kentuck wasn't too bad either, landing 45-50 bass in about 4 hours with a 17" and a 20" in there. It was a great time. I look forward to October when I am up there with you, and of course next June at the same time.

Thanks again,

Dick Narske"
